Got up early this morning, loaded up the car and set off. It was a long drive
all the way from Seattle to Missoula. There were some big hills outside Seattle,
but before long the landscape had become flat and dry. We drove non-stop to
Spokane, where we went to a couple of large thrift stores, and I bought some
old records. We ate some horrible food at a place called Dick’s Hamburgers
by the bagful. We continued driving until well after dark, and pulled off the
road somewhere in Idaho to look at the stars.
Border States is a series of SX-70 Polaroid and 35mm images taken on various
road trips through southern Canada and northern USA
